During the summer months, gondola rides, tubing, a mountain roller coaster, and zip lining. The resort is surrounded by restaurants, casinos, and numerous shops that cater to any taste.
 
Golf lovers will enjoy the beautiful Edgewood Golf Course, which features well-maintained greens with a lodge, restaurant, and spa that has received several national awards. The recognition is well-deserved as the 18-hole golf course is really a special treat located right in the heart of downtown Tahoe.
 
One major bonus for families with children is the superb school district that serves the area. The Douglas County School District is rated very highly, and rightfully so, as many graduates go on to pursue higher education.
